Are you struggling to find just the right gift for the homeschool mom in your life? Are you trying to find something both special and affordable?
I’ve compiled this list of affordable items I personally love–and I think other homeschool moms would be thrilled to find any of these under the Christmas tree this year!
Every homeschool mom seems to be looking for ways to save time in the kitchen. An affordable slow cooker can make all the difference when it comes to beating the evening rush hour after a busy day of homeschooling.
Slow cookers are available in a variety of sizes to suit the size of any family. With a larger family of 9, I use and love this Hamilton Beach Stay or Go 6-Quart Slow Cooker.
I like this particular brand because it truly cooks slowly and doesn’t burn the food, as some other brands tend to do. I also love that this model has a “warm” setting, making it a cinch to keep a meal warm if it finishes cooking before serving time.
Need slow cooker recipes? Not a problem! Take a look at some of my favorite slow cooker recipes and find dozens more on my Slow Cooker Pinterest board!
I love my label maker! I use it for labeling file folders, index card boxes, dividers in my children’s homeschool binders, and more. My label maker is very similar to this DYMO LabelManager Hand Held Label Maker.
For a bit nicer label maker, my pick would be this Amazon best seller: Epson LabelWorks LW-300 Label Maker.
I think every homeschool mom dreams of having a laminator. This Scotch Thermal Laminator is very popular among homeschoolers–and it’s affordable, too!
Great Homeschool Conventions Registration
After nine years of homeschooling, I could definitely use the encouragement and refreshment of a homeschool convention. My top pick would be Great Homeschool Conventions.
With dozens of inspiring homeschool speakers and a huge list of exhibitors, Great Homeschool Conventions would be a great choice for any homeschool mom. (Anyone planning to go to the convention in Cincinnati, OH? I desperately want to be there!)
About a year ago I got a Kindle Paperwhite, and I highly recommend it for any homeschool mom who loves to read.
The Kindle Paperwhite is ideal for night-time reading because it has a lighted screen that can be turned down VERY low, allowing you to read without disturbing anyone else–and without the expense of batteries for a book light, either!
Because there are literally hundreds of free Kindle books available, the initial investment of purchasing a Kindle will be repaid over and over.
