Saturday Snippets

I thought it would be fun to have a post with all the bits and pieces that I never seem to get around to sharing. So here it is–welcome to Saturday Snippets!

The most important thing to happen in our family recently was the birth of our little Kiera Lynn. She surprised everyone by arriving before the doctor did! I have to wonder what kind of surprises she may spring on us in the future. :-)

Kiera weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and measured 20.5 inches long. She has been such a joy–a contented baby who just loves to be cuddled.

It’s totally awesome seeing the older kids, from the oldest to the youngest, holding her and loving her. And of course it’s wonderful to have all those helping hands!

In other news, I’ve been slowly but consistently making progress at going paperless. Right now I’m spending a few minutes each day scanning in receipts, tax documents, craft patterns, and so much more. Then I transfer the scanned documents to Evernote to be filed.

My inspiration for going paperless comes from Mystie Winckler’s ebook Paperless Home Organization. I first came across this ebook about a year ago, and honestly, I can’t recommend it highly enough. (See my review and my baby steps toward paperless home organization for more details.)

I’ve also been doing some simplifying and decorating, but I think I’ll save that for next week. :-)

What about you? How was your week?

What a precious baby you have. Don’t know who she looks like but she is a doll baby. Does she like to travel in the car? Would love to see her in person and just to see her and love her. God Bless you and your family. Maybe one of these days i will get to see her.

    Love you,
    A, Rita
