2013-2014 Homeschool Curriculum Plan

This year we are beginning our ninth year of homeschooling. I can still remember the concerns and anxiety I felt as we began our first year of learning at home.

Now, nine years later, I can confidently say that we have found homeschooling to be the ideal way for our children to learn. I value the privilege of tailoring each child’s curriculum to meet his individual interests and learning style.

  1. Wow, I am thrilled to find someone further down the homeschool path! Off to read all your curriculum posts! This year I have 7th, 3rd, 2nd, K, and 4 little ones:

  2. Virginia Thompson says:

You mentioned that you were looking for piano lesson books. My son took lessons for the last 5 years & used James Bastien books. They start with the primer through level 4, also with theory books. We got them at our local Christain book store. Hope this helps!

    • Virginia, I believe someone else has recommended these books, as well! This is what I love about the homeschooling community–when everyone shares their experiences, it makes it so much easier to make solid choices. Thanks SO much for sharing!

  3. We are first year homeschoolers (kind of-we had a brief stint before) with grades K, 6, 9 and 10. I’m looking forward to reading all the info on your blog!
