Welcome to Contented at Home! I’m so glad you stopped by, and I’m looking forward to getting acquainted.
My name is Judy, and like many of you, I am a stay-at-home wife and mother. I have been married to my husband, a truck driver, for nearly 18 years. We have 7 children–5 boys and 2 girls–ranging in age from 6 months to 16 years. Our family lives in beautiful rural Pennsylvania.
As you can imagine, my days are filled with all the cooking, cleaning, and laundry that comes with having a family. I also devote much of my time to homeschooling; this year we are working in grades 2, 5, 7, 8, and 10. When I find an extra moment, I enjoy sewing, cross-stitch, reading, scrapbooking, and writing.
So often in today’s society, women who choose to stay home with their children are disparaged and under-valued. Contented at Home is written with the desire to demonstrate that women truly can live fulfilled lives as stay-at-home moms.
