Using photographs, clipart, and other illustrations is a wonderful ways to help children remember what they have learned in their Bible lessons. Here are three sources for excellent illustrations to use in notebooking, lapbooking, timelines, and more.
La Vista Church of Christ offers a large collection of public domain pictures from old Bible story books. Each story book is listed separately, and most of the books have been subdivided into topical categories. Particular illustrations can be located by searching for a character’s name, book of the Bible, or specific topic. Some pictures are black and white, while others are full color.

Visual Bible Alive is a collection of religious pictures, maps and illustrations, which are free for non-commercial use. The site has three indexed categories (people, topics, and inspirational) and can also be searched for any specific term. Some images are black and white; others are full color.

Karen’s Whimsy has a nice selection of public domain images available in the “Christian Images” category. Like the other sites, this one has some illustrations in black and white and others in color.
